American School of Indian Art is an institution founded by Kanniks Kannikeswaran with the vision of creating awareness about the ancient and diverse Indian music and art traditions in the western hemisphere.

Mission Statement:

ASIA will serve the Indian diaspora and the world community as a premier Institute of Indian Performing Arts and Culture maintaining the highest standards in music education, functioning as a renaissance institution in creating experimental works blending the best of the eastern and western cultures enabling local communities to imbibe the cultures of India and the West in an easily accessible setting, thus building a growing body of artistically aware audience.

To this end, ASIA offers classes in Raaga Vidya™ (Indian Classical Music) in a proven learning methodology, workshops in music appreciation, lectures and workshops on Indian culture and other related areas. ASIA also utilizes the best of technology to offer distance learning and it also uses the internet and other publishing media to make quality recordings and compilations accessible to the public.
